The Bowls Australia 2019 Hall Of Fame & Awards Night has seen a handful of NSW bowlers come away with awards and gain recognition for their contribution to the sport over the years.

Natasha Scott took out the prestigious Female Bowler of the Year award for the fifth time after collecting 307 ranking points. Natasha has had a fantastic year, winning Australian Open Singles, Australian Sides, Women’s Bowls NSW State Championship Triples at South Tamworth, and the Golden Nugget.

Also on the night, Merle Richardson OAM and Daphne Shaw earned elevation from the Hall Of Fame to become Legends of Australian bowls for their contribution to the sport.

One of the biggest pieces of news to drop during the event was the announcement that BCiB Australian Jackaroo Karen Murphy would be retiring from international duties at the end of the year. The Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist is regarded as one of the country’s best ever bowlers, amassing a total of 646 caps for Australia.
