Women’s Bowls NSW Bowls Recovery Package

by operations

In great news for our members, Women’s Bowls NSW (along with the Office of Sport) can offer affiliation fee relief to our member clubs.

Club and District Secretaries can expect an email tomorrow morning (3rd July), explaining how you can register your club or association, as the funding comes in two distinct streams: Grassroots Funding and Sport Recovery Package

  • Grassroots Funding

The Grassroots Sport Fund will provide a one-off grant of up to $1000 for eligible clubs and associations. To be eligible for this funding clubs and associations must be a must be registered or incorporated in NSW.

The Fund will be administered by the Office of Sport through Women’s Bowls NSW to assess the eligibility of our affiliated clubs/associations and make payments to eligible clubs/associations.

Attached (click HERE) is a list of clubs and associations that have an ABN number and are eligible for the Grassroots Funding.

If your club is not on the attached list but you have an ABN number, please contact the WBNSW office via email communications@womensbowlsnsw.org. Please note the ABN number must for the Women’s Bowls Club only not the Club ltd.

  • Sport and Recreation Support

WBNSW understands that most of our clubs are not eligible for the Grassroots Funding and therefore are offering affiliation fee relief to these clubs. You will see this is a credit on your annual returns invoice. The affiliation fee per member is reduced to $65 per member for your clubs.

There will be more details and information sent via email tomorrow morning, but WBNSW hope this relief will help clubs and members to recover from the impact that COVID 19 has had on our sport and ultimately help members to return to the greens.

Kind Regards
