Nearly 300 lawn bowls clubs who took part in last years National Pink Bowls Day have raised a total of $200,000 for the McGrath Foundation from the event. Held on the 25th October 2009, the inaugural National Pink Bowls Day was the initiative of Bowling Club Insurance Brokers (BCiB), who co-ordinated the participation of the clubs across Australia. Last week BCiB General Manager Karen Ferguson presented the final tally of $207,141.11 to McGrath Foundation Executive Director Tracy Bevan, who was extremely grateful for the support of the lawn bowls community.
The 2010 BCiB National Pink Bowls Day will take place on Sunday 31st October, with information to be distributed to clubs in July.
