The NSWWBA Inc Coaching committee is pleased to announce the new coaching format being establishedby the joint committee in NSW. With the implementation of assessor and presenter (P/A's) NSWWBA has embraced the new format and are looking forward to the collaboration of all the NSW Coaches.
With the new format Bowls Australia in consultation with the Australian Sports Commission and STA's has developed new coaching manuals which can be purchased through the State Office at a cost of
Introductory Coach $19.95
Club Coach $ 24.95
Activities Handbook $19.95
The new application forms are below for the following levels Intro and Club Coach. A Level one is the equivalent of Club Coach
The Coaching Panel conducts training for intending Coaches who are a vital part of our organisation.
Coaches and P/A's instruct intending players in all aspects of playing the game, both from the physical and psychological point of view, such as
- Safety on the Green
- Delivery techniques
- Strategies
- General skill of the game
- Etiquette
- And ‘How to obtain that winning edge’
COACHING COMMUNIQUE
The Coaching Panel also conduct clinics whenever requested by Clubs. The level of coaching given at these clinics will depend on the needs of your club. All participants will be videoed and suggestions made to help with any problems detected.
In each edition of Bowls News there is a Coaching section, which address a different aspect of the game and often includes letters of interest from Coaches.
In May and November the "Coach to Coach’ Newsletter is published by the Panel and this is available to all Coaches.
