WOMEN'S BOWLING ASSOCIATION INC.

CONSTITUTION

PREAMBLE TO CONSTITUTION

The inaugural Meeting to form a LADIES' BOWLING ASSOCIATION IN NEW SOUTH WALES was chaired by Mrs. A. Bourke and held in the Council Chambers at Ashfield on November 21,1929.

The Office-Bearers elected at the Inaugural Meeting were;

President:         Mrs. A. Bourke

Hon. Secretary: Miss E. Kershler

Hon. Treasurer: Miss Troy (resigned shortly afterwards)

                          Mrs. L. Harrison then elected

Hon. Solicitor:   Mr. H. R. Hunt

The five (5) original clubs interested in the formation of the Association were:

Balmain, Leichhardt, Rose Bay, Torpey Place and Western Suburbs (now known as Five Dock Park)

The first Annual Meeting was held on December 9,1930.

On January 13,1932 the name of the Association was changed to the:

      "NEW SOUTH WALES WOMEN'S BOWLING ASSOCIATION"

 

On October 23,1978 a resolution was passed substituting new regulations for those contained in the original Constitution and By-Laws.

On April 30,1986 a resolution was passed substituting this Constitution, the Standing Orders and By-Laws hereto for those contained in the original Constitution and By-Laws as previously amended.
