Sport and Recreation Participation Program
The primary focus of the program is on increasing regular and on-going participation opportunities.
What are the objectives of this program?
1. Increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport, recreation or structured physical activity in a sustainable manner.
2. Address barriers to participation in sport, recreation and structured physical activity.
3. Build the capacity of the organisation to enhance provision of sport and recreation services.
4. Provide accreditation or training to develop the skills of volunteers to enable sport, recreation and structured physical activity programs to be conducted in locations across NSW.

NSW incorporated, community based not-for-profit organisations
NSW Local Government Authorities operating under the Local Government Act, 1993

Grants from $500 - $10,000

NSW Sport and Recreation Grants
Financial assistance and grants are available to sport and recreation groups and individuals through a number of sources, including the NSW Sport and Recreation's grant programs.
Capital assistance program
Assists in the development of community orientated local sport and recreation facilities.
Country athletes scheme
Assists talented young athletes from country areas within NSW in accessing training, coaching and competitions.
Country coaches and officials scheme
Assists coaches from country areas of NSW access opportunities to assist them gain or maintain acquired accreditation.
Far West travel scheme
Assists not-for-profit sport and recreation organisations and individuals in the Far West and remote areas of NSW by offering financial assistance to help with the costs of travel to sports competitions and events.
International sporting events program
Funds to support and attract international sporting events to NSW.
Sports development program
Assists state sporting organisations and peak industry bodies to develop their sport and recreation activities at all levels in NSW.
Women's sports leaders scholarships
Aims to improve the management and leadership skills of women in the sport and recreation industry in NSW.

NSW Premier's Sporting Challenge Sports Equipment Grant
In support of the Premier's Sporting Challenge, all public primary, central and secondary schools across NSW have received a grant to purchase sports equipment.
A total of $20million in tied grants will be distributed to schools over a three year period to purchase a range of sporting and fitness equipment. This funding is additional to the discretionary funding that government schools currently spend on sports equipment.
Wheelchair Sports NSW Grants and Scholarships
Throughout the year Wheelchair Sports NSW receive information about grants and scholarships available to Athletes, Administrators and Coaches in NSW. We will endeavour to include this information on the website as quickly as possible.

Australian Womensport and Recreation Sport Leadership Grants
Apply for your share of $400,000!
Are you a leader in sport?
The Sport Leadership Grants for Women provide funding and support for women to seek accredited training and education in coaching, officiating, governance and management.
Grants of up to $5,000 for individuals and $10, 000 for organisations are available in five categories:High performance coaching and officiating; Indigenous Sport; Disability sport; Culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds; and General sport leadership.
Telstra Grants
Telstra is Australia's largest telecommunications provider and touches Australians from all backgrounds and communities, right across the country. From the coast to the bush, our sponsorship programs reflect this involvement and demonstrate our belief in Australian endeavour.
At a community level, Telstra provides much needed assistance for the purchase of new club equipment. From swimming clubs to footy clubs, many junior grade and community facilities have benefited, and continue to benefit, through our annual application program.
NSW Government Community Building Partnership
The NSW Government’s $35 million Community Building Partnership program will support local jobs, stimulate growth and improve community facilities.
Community groups and local councils across NSW will be eligible to submit applications for funding that will help support local infrastructure and jobs
The NSW Community Building Partnership will invest $300,000 into building local community projects in every electoral district – with an additional $100,000 to be invested in electoral districts with higher unemployment.
